How did you get involved in the business?

So contract or not I don’t plan on heading off with another company in the near future.

What was your first experience on set like?
You know I think it may have been more nerve wrecking if it had not of been with Austin Parker my boyfriend. For those not familiar with your work, tell us about it. How would you describe your style?
Good question. For people who haven’t seen my stuff before, I think its best described as disneyesque with an edge. After all I doubt you’re likely to see Aladdin with his willy out!

Have you always been interested in illustration? How did you get your start?
Pretty much. My father is an artist so I have always had art in my life, though as a teenager I went through a period of wanting to be a zookeeper! It’s been a rocky road getting into the illustration industry but about 4 years ago I took the leap doing it full time. Until then I had been in a bookstore for several years, drawing at the counter on any spare piece of paper that came my way! But at some point I knew I had to take a chance and here I am today, still doing it fulltime!

Who has influenced your work?
I have learned a lot from the famous classic artists, Michelangelo, Lord Frederick Leighton, and Gustav Dore. But also from more contemporary artists in the comic industry Joe Maduriera, Amanda Conner, and of course my partner of 12 years the awesome Jack Lawrence. And also Manga, Anime and European comic books. As well as the obvious Disney and Don Bluth animations.

There’s a lot of variety in the types of guys you illustrate, which I love. How do you come up with your characters?
Thank you for noticing this. I really want my characters to portray every possible type of character, as I always say, ” variety is the spice of life”. We aren’t all muscle bound gods with heaving pecs, arms the size of most guys’ thighs, and a washboard stomach. But we are all sexy in our own unique way, why shouldn’t cartoons represent all of us, and still be oozing with sex appeal. I don’t believe the tubby guy or geek should only ever be portrayed as the butt of everyone’s jokes in art. In a way I hope this makes my work a little different from what’s out there at the moment. Sorry let me get off my high horse to answer the rest of your question!! As for coming up with characters that’s a tough one, they all pretty much live in my head or else hide in the pencil and don’t make themselves known until the pencil hits the paper, but of course I am always looking at people around me and inspired by them.

Do your own creations ever turn you on?
*blushes* course I do but I am not telling you which ones!

When it comes to gay erotic illustrators there aren’t many but names like Tom Finland and Patrick Fillion are very well known. How do you feel your work compares?
Patrick Fillion is a god!! This man knows how to draw the hottest men ever and the most gorgeous cocks! (Can I say that word in this interview?) He is also a very dear friend! Of course we all know and love the work that Tom of Finland did, and lets face it without that guy, none of us would be drawing these nekkid guys as freely as we are today. Do you think gay comics will someday become mainstream?
That’s a tough question. When we talk of artists like Patrick Fillion and Tom of Finland, you’re never going to find their comics on the low shelves of the local store, but there are other gay comics out there, slice of life comics that really should be easily accessible to all. And I think bigger name comics are getting less and less afraid to introduce a gay character here or there. I hope that continues to happen, until we get to the stage where those gay characters aren’t even a special event in the comic, and just blend in with everyone else, cause guess what…. we do!!

What are your plans/goals for the future?
Apart from a Britdoodz theme park you mean? How cool would that be!!! I just want to be able to do what I am doing. Britdoodz has a very special place in my heart and I would dearly love it to continue to grow and make money so that I can keep drawing these guys ‘till the day I die. I would love there to be a regular Britdoodz comic, and even animation, but remember I am still a baby bird trying out his wings. But just wait and see, I intend to soar!

It is an experience I am glad I didn’t pass up. It is really a dream job (forgive the cliché). I get paid to do what I do in everyday life already. Plus, the company that I work for couldn’t be more supportive about my individual success, which, to me, is very important.

What was your first experience on set like?
My first experience on set was nerve-wrecking. I didn’t know what I was doing there and I felt so out of place. Once my first scene started I realized that there was nothing to be nervous about and I quickly started enjoying myself. I wouldn’t say that my first time was amazing, but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been either. All in all I would say that it was ok.

What star would I like to work with?
I hope he doesn’t mind me saying. I would love to work with Tyler Mason. I started talking to this kid a few months ago and he seems like a fun person to work with, plus who can disagree, he is so adorable.

What are your likes and dislikes about gay porn?

Photography and filming was my long-term hobby since I was small boy. When I moved to U.S. in 1991 from my hometown Moscow, Russia,   I was admired by Kristen Bjorn products.When I visited Brazil in 2001, I was deeply fascinated by sexy Brazilian men. I decided to develop my own passion more seriously into business, where I can photograph and video hot Brazilian men more.

23 movies…last one is JUNGLE CRUISERS 2 under editing process to be released in 2007

What made you want to direct films?
My deep passion in filming hot Brazilian men having sex stories. Also I am enjoying creativity in adult industry and making my own living from this business.

In-deep negotiation and understanding each other are big preparation before filming is one of most important part in filming success.

Good preparation and patience in filming, even very careful post-production editing.
